Veranda Park in Metrowest has been announcing they have been sold out since 2003 and I still do not see anyone living there. The only things I’ve noticed are a handful of businesses and a majestic new fountain. They began sales about the same time as the Sanctuary downtown but that building has been done for years now. The buildings in Veranda Park have been under construction forever. Sales contracts typically run 2 years in the state of Florida so I’m sure many of those people who rushed into purchasing at Veranda Park have backed out of their contracts with the dismal condo market here. I’ve spoken with numerous realtors who had buyers with sales contracts here and none of them knew what was going on there since the sales reps never call them back and they get lost in the shuffle with the massive personnel changes at the sales office. What was once a promising addition to the area has become an enigma. No one know what is going on there, especially with the Residences. I also ran across a blog on the wordpress with a person being sued by Veranda Partners because he started a blog complaining about how the homeowner’s association fees were going up because of Veranda Park. The blog can be found HERE. Sure sounds like something is going on there but I’m scared to get sued like this other guy so this is just a commentary and not a complaint. Please take note. Maybe that is why we never hear any news about what is going on there.
