The construction of Rialto, a mixed use development of retail, office, and condominiums, is finally underway at the site of the old Days Inn on Sand Lake Rd. between Turkey Lake Rd. and Dr. Phillips Blvd.. There’s also been rumors floating around that it may include a movie theater that hasn’t been confirmed yet. The Wilder Company out of Boston is responsible for this development but has handed over the development of the condominiums to Woods Partners.
The Loop near Hunters Creek is the Wilder Company’s most recent project completed in Central Florida and Woods Partners is the firm responsible for Solaire at the Plaza located in Downtown Orlando.
Shops and Restaurants announced for this development include:
- J. Alexander’s
- Blue Coral
- Fractured Prune (gourmet donuts)
- Maggie Moo Ice Cream
- Bar Louie
- Bento Sushi
- Sadler’s of Winter Park
- Perry Optics
- MILLY V Apparel & Accessories
- Cork & Olive Wine Store
- GLOW Modern Lighting Store
- Personal Expressions Stationary & Gifts
- FEDEX/KINKOS
The name of the condo section of the community is called Intermezzo at Rialto. Amenities include a rooftop community pool, fitness center, cyber cafe with wi-fi, gated garage, and video gaming area. Pricing starts in the $350’s for the one & two bedroom plans that are available with square footages ranging from 1,125 square feet to 1,375 square feet. The units with the views of Spring Lake should be the most desirable in this development.
