Centerline Homes Begin Yet Another New Home Community in Windermere

January 7th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Centerline Homes is opening yet another new home community in Windermere called Preston Square. The community is located on Overstreet off C.R. 535 near the Berkshire Park community which is currently being sold by Pulte and Ashton Woods Homes.

There will be both townhomes and single family homes in this community with both offering 2 car garages and prices start at attractive $189,900 for the townhomes and $259,900 for the single family homes. The townhomes will have square footages ranging from 1,124 to 1,932 and the single family homes will range from 1,608 to 2,600. It will be a quaint little community of 143 residences.

There’s certainly a lot of new home communities coming into this section of town and we’ll have to wait and see how everything develops here. KB, Park Square, Ryland, Pulte, and Ashton Woods have all gotten a head start on this section of town and I don’t believe the home are exactly flying off the shelf anymore. Perhaps their attractive price will help them out with the competition.

The national trend of builders slowing down their rate of construction has not come into effect here. Uhh, I think we have too many homes on the market already guys. Maybe you should slow down.

I have been looking at several of those sub divisions, all of them have very nice houses and I am getting closer to narrowing it down but my concern is hearing about building companies who are filing for bankruptcy and I would need to know that if I hand over a deposit my house will be built!
I did look at Independence and see what is happening over there and a couple more, it all looks great when you see the models but in a few cases I have heard horror stories a few months later.
