Central Florida is world renowned for it’s redfish and snook fishing and I’m just glad I live in this part of the world. Really, you catch more redfish and trout, but every once in a while you can find some snook here. They’re really found more south of Sebastian Inlet. Here’s a pic of my monster snook that I recently caught on the flats in Brevard County. I normally throw them back, but had to keep this monster for the table since it barely made the slot limit. Snooks are a beautiful fish but also some of the tastiest fish out there so I couldn’t resist. I’ve thrown back hundreds of fish this year and keeping one couldn’t hurt things too much. It’s not like you can go to a fancy sushi place or grocery to buy these things. If you wanna eat snook, you gotta do it the old fashioned way and go get it yourself.
