Holy smokes! One constant throughout my real estate career is that there’s always surprises and today is no exception.
I just heard that a long time real estate pro here in Dr. Phillips has been arrested for fraud. Patrick Torre, the broker of Tower Realty Group on 5008 Dr. Phillips Blvd., was taken in for selling a property that he didn’t own by forging a warranty deed and a bill of sale. Torre is accused of defrauding his customer of $145,000 in May of 2006.
Patrick has been in business here in SW Orlando for quite some time and usually has quite a few properties for sale so I’ve spoken with him on occasion. He seemed like a pretty nice guy all those times and I really hope these accusations are untrue.
It would make us Realtors, well, look not so good. Either way, justice will be served and we’ll find out if Torre is a scam artist or someone is trying to recoup their losses from the real estate bust. I’m really surprised that they’re accusing him of forging documents which is a total no no that it and of itself.

Patrick Torre is a notorious scam artist. No one who knows this man is surprised about his arrest. He is a known criminal and felon. Check out orange county comptroller’s website and view the millions of dollars of judgments people have against him.
