The numbers for the S&P Case Shiller Index were released today and they weren’t good. It revealed that home prices throughout the country have dropped down to 2004 levels. The 20 city index fell 15.8% from a year ago and the 10 city index fell 16.9%.
Las Vegas saw the worst declines with prices dropping 28.4% and Miami not much better with a drop of 28.3%. The Tampa area which represents Orlando had a year over year decline of 20.2%.
