No Pools Allowed at Meadow Ridge?

November 19th, 2008 · 4 Comments

I ran into another local agent, Jason from Remax, and he said that there’s no pools allowed in the new Pulte development off Maguire Road in Ocoee called Meadow Ridge. I don’t know if there’s any truth to this, but if anyone knows about this, please make a comment on this post.

Besides the obvious bad timing of this community, it is in a fantastic location with mediterranean architecture, tile roofs, and gated entry. Other than the fact that you can’t put a pool out there, it’s a pretty nice choice. I’d buy that for a dollar.

According to their site, there is one inventory home on a cul de sac with 3,192 square feet, 4 beds, 3.5 baths, and granite/stainless for $398,680. Not bad as long as you can put a pool in.

I’m certainly not an expert in the field of real estate. Actually, I know nothing about real estate. But what would be the objection to putting-in a pool here? I would think this would simply add value to the property.

The reason someone wouldn’t be able to put in a pool on a property has to do with setbacks and easements that are required on a particular property. Counties provide minimum requirements prior to approval for a particular area or subdivision. That’s why a survey is a requirement for most lenders prior to loan approval. I actually think this is a good requirement.

Just to put all minds to rest on this subject I have recently sold two homes in here and both have Pools as do others in the community . Thank you!
